From Georgia O'Keeffe's studio in her home in the old pueblo of Abiquiu, New Mexico, she could see this "white place" which she painted. Three miles down a gravel road took her to this eerie geological feature. The vista here is very soft and light with its subtle warm colors.

I have never posted a comment on a blog before but I couldn't stand to see the "White Places" go without a single comment. I live in Los Angeles looking forward to retiring to my place which is about in the middle of your painting on county road 158. I love your watercolors of the area.
